Frankenweenie's Sparky Free Amigurumis Pattern

 



Many years ago, when I used to take part in the Swaps we organized with my Chilean amigurumi friends, my secret friend asked for a Sparky, and I didn’t hesitate to crochet it for her. Back then, it was very well received, and I always had the idea of turning it into a pattern, until now. So here is my version of Sparky from Frankenweenie!

Materials:

  • Grayish white, white and black cotton yarn.
  • 3mm and 2mm crochet hooks
  • 7mm or 6mm safety eyes
  • Blach eyeshadow and eyeshadow brush
  • Black embroidery floss
  • Fiberfill
  • Scissors
  • Stitch marker
  • Tapestry needle


Abbreviations:

MR: magic ring

sc: single crochet

Inc: increase

Decdecrease

(  )x numberrepeat x times

(number): stitches at the end of the round.

ch: chain



Now, Let's crochet our new friend!



Work in spiral unless told otherwise.

Eyes:

Use white
1. 6sc in MR (do not work in spiral this time)
2. 6inc (12)


Head

Start from the nose using black:
Stuff as you go 
1. 6sc in MR
2. (sc, dec)x2 (4) change color to grayish white
3. 4inc (8)
4. (sc, inc)x4 (12)
5. 12sc (12)
6. (2sc, inc)x4 (16)
7. (3sc, inc)x4 (20)
8. (4sc, inc)x4 (24)
9. (3sc, inc)x6 (30)
10. (4sc, inc)x6 (36)

Use black eyeshadow to paint between rounds 10 to 18. This will go around the eyes. See images.
Sew the eyes between rounds 13 and 17. Safety eyes do not go in the midde of the eye. Check the images.

Finish off.




Ears:

Use black
1. 4sc in MR (4)

Sew on round 21 on top of each eye.




Embroider eyebrows and sutures on the head.


Body:

Use grayish white

Stuff and sew to the head.



Front legs:

Use grayish white
Do not stuff
1. 6sc in MR (6)
2. - 7. (6 rounds) 6sc (6)
Sew to the front side of the body



Back legs: 

Use grayish white
Do not stuff
1. 6sc in MR (6)
2. - 4. (3 rounds) 6sc (6)
5. 3inc, 3sc (9)
6. (sc, inc)x3, 3sc (12)
7. - 8. (2 rounds) 12sc (12)
9. 6dec (6)
Finish off
Sew to each side of the body, the increase side must face upwards.



Tail:

Use black
1. 3sc in MR (3)
2. inc, 2sc (4)
3. inc, 3sc (5)
4. - 6. (3 rounds) 5sc (5)
Sew to the back of the body



Patch on the back

Use white
1. 6 ch, start in the second ch from hook 5sc on each ch (5), 1ch, turn
2. - 4. (3 rows) 5sc (5), 1 ch, turn
Sew to the back and paint the dots with black eyeshadow. See image



Screws

Use black and 2mm hook
Part 1:
1. 6sc in MR
Cut and finish off.


Part 2:

1. 3sc in MR (3)
2. 3sc (3)

Sew the part 2 to the middle of the part 1 and then sew the screw next to the neck of the dog.

Use black embroidery floss to make all the sutures details. See images.




And voi}à! Your Sparky is done! He has now come back to life and he can continue looking for friends in Halloween!
