Valentine's Day Cat Pattern

 


Valentine's Day is around the corner! So I decided to post this cute and simple pattern for beginners: Valentine's day Cat 馃挊馃樆 

If you don't have much experience when making amigurumis, this pattern is perfect for you! And if your level is advanced, you're welcome to make it, too!

Let's start!

Materials:

-Cotton yarn (light blue, pink and white) These are optional, you can use your favorite colors.
-Crochet hook (I used a 3mm hook)
-Safety eyes (10mm)
-Yarn needle
-Embroidery floss (black and pink)
-Stitch marker
-Fiberfill

Abbreviations:

MR Magic ring
sc: single crochet
inc: increase 
dec: decrease
x: repeat
sl st: slip stitch
R: round

Head:
Stuff as you go.
Use light blue:

Attach safety eyes between R10 and R11 leaving 8 stitches between them.

Body:

Stuff lightly

Tail:
Do not stuff.

Assembly:
Embroider the nose using embroidery floss (see video). 
Sew the muzzle to the head between rounds 9 and 15.
Sew the ears to the head between tounds 4 and 8 
Sew legs between rounds 6 and 8 of the body (leave 4 to 5 stitches between them)
Sew arms betweee rounds 12 and 14  (see video)
Sew the tail between rounds 4 and 5 f the body

Heart:
Use pink: 
Stuff as you go.
(make 2) do not fasten off in the second piece, since we will continue working with it.
R1: 6sc in MR (6)

R4: (1 round) 18sc (18)
Fasten off ONLY in the first piece, leave a long tail for sewing the gap on the top of the heart and to sew the heart to the cat's hands.

R5: Join both pieces leaving 3 stitches free on each side (see photos). 15sc on each side. You'll get a total of 30 stitches.

Fasten off and close.

Sew the heart to the hands of the cat and there you go! Your Valentine's day Cat is ready! You can give it to someone you really love 馃挏
